TanOrganic - Ethical Self Tan Branding
Adding a touch of beauty to self bronzing
The original organic self tan brand from skin therapist and Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Noelle O’Connor.
The Task
Whilst the current packaging was fun and quirky it gave no sense of the skin care benefits and natural ingredients that went into the products. The new branding, pack graphics and visual look and feel needed to reflect the more refined, premium products that TanOrganic offered.
The Process
As the brand moved from fun and quirky to more premium and sophisticated, the brand needed to be re-defined as to what it stood for.
This inspired different creative directions to explore that led to a broad range of design concepts being developed.
Once narrowed down, we used online research panels of around 20 participants to get feedback on the most preferred designs. These instinctive sessions were invaluable in providing insights into the brand, its new positioning and feedback about the designs. This helped to inform the design’s development and its application across all bottles and boxes.
The Result
The brand has re-asserted its authority in the self tan sector. A beauty led organic brand that is recommended by dermatologists and perfect to bring out a natural bronzed colour.
